Grief Counselor for Individuals

Meridian Counseling for Grief and Loss offers individual grief counseling tailored to each client's specific needs. These sessions are non-discriminatory and effective for people of all ages, races, denominations, gender, sexual identity, ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds. I look forward to providing the hope and comfort you need in your time of darkness

Group Counseling

One or more of the topics covered in Meridian Counseling's group sessions may apply to you. A plan for the best services to meet your needs can be discussed and executed during your free 15-minute consultation. Group counseling sessions are offered at different times of the year, depending on the size of the group. Recent groups have focused on issues related to the following:

Julie Raino: Public Speaker

Julie Raino is an experienced, skilled, and sought-after public speaker. She is available to speak to groups of people about an array of grieving situations. Most recently, she gave a presentation to a group of 100 nurses about the subject of prolonged and unresolved grief during the pandemic. Julie is regularly the keynote speaker at a program called “Still Missed,” which is a day of reconciling for families that have lost a child.


Julie's public speaking presentations cover topics such as caregiver stress, aging, hospice, bereavement, trauma/suicide, addiction and its complications to grief, childhood grief and spirituality, and the role of religion in dying and bereavement. Mourning Rites

As an ordained minister, I am qualified to plan and participate in meaningful funerals and burials for mourning families. I enjoy serving families of all religions as well as those who do not have any particular religious leanings. Each service is tailored to the life of the person who has died and the special requests of the family.
